Watering restrictions for vegetable gardens
Gardens are considered agricultural crops and irrigation may occur before 10 a.m. or after 4 p.m., but irrigation is not subject to the day of the week restrictions. Irrigation using a hand-held hose, micro-spray, micro-jet, drip or bubbler irrigation system is allowed anytime.

  • Orange County watering restrictions — All of Orange County is to follow the St. Johns restrictions. The only exception is Reedy Creek, which will follow the South Florida Water Management District’s restrictions.

    AUTUMN & WINTER
    One day a week watering is allowed during Eastern Standard Time.

    SPRING & SUMMER
    The schedule is two days a week during daylight saving time. The schedule is available at floridaswater.com/wateringrestrictions.

    Know Your Days
    Mandatory lawn watering restrictions specify the days when you may water. These days depend on whether you have an odd or even numbered address, and the time of year.


  • Daylight saving time: Second Sunday in March until the first Sunday in November



  • Eastern Standard Time: First Sunday in November until the second Sunday in March


  • Water for no more than one hour per zone.
